About Chase
Chase is a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever who is looking for a very special forever home.
Like many dogs who have experienced several transitions, Chase has had an inconsistent start to life through no fault of his own. He has been in a few different homes and environments, and while he remains a very loving, gentle-natured dog, those changes have left him a bit unsure of the world at times.
At his core, Chase is incredibly tender and deeply bonded to his people. He thrives on connection and wants nothing more than to be close to his humans. He is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he feels safe and included in daily life.
Because of his sensitive nature, Chase can be nervous in unfamiliar environments. Busy settings such as downtown areas can feel overwhelming for him, and he benefits from patient guidance and calm exposure as he continues to build confidence.
Chase is a very sweet, soft-hearted dog with a tremendous capacity to love. With the right person or family — someone patient, consistent, and kind — he has the potential to truly flourish.
Chase’s Ideal Home
Chase will thrive in a home that is:
• calm and structured
• experienced with dogs
• able to provide regular exercise and engagement
• patient, attentive to canine body language,
and committed to helping him continue building confidence in new situations.
For safety and comfort reasons, Chase will be placed in a home without small children or puppies.
He does best in a calm environment where he can build a close bond with his people.
Additional Considerations
Chase loves playing fetch and can become very focused during ball play. When he becomes highly stimulated after a game of fetch, he has occasionally shown some territorial behavior around his tennis ball with other dogs. For this reason, ball play should be managed thoughtfully in multi-dog households.
